In April 2025, the Bank of Uganda—the Central Bank of the Republic of Uganda—launched an interactive remittance dashboard, setting a new benchmark for publicly available data on remittance markets.

The dashboard addresses longstanding gaps in detailed remittance data by providing a comprehensive range of insights, including transaction values and volumes, sending and receiving countries, transfer channels, termination methods, and the geographic distribution of remittances across Uganda’s districts. It also offers insights into the demographic profile of remittance senders and recipients.
